On Tuesday 30th November 2021, School Council created their own assembly for the whole Junior School on British Values. Mrs Whelan challenged them the week before to work together with the school council members in their year group to create something to show and educate the school on our British values. The children were very creative in their ideas writing a script, designing posters and even producing a film! The children completed this on their own with no adult support. We are very proud of their achievements.
In accordance with The Department for Education we aim to actively promote British values in schools to ensure young people leave school prepared for life in modern Britain. Pupils are encouraged to regard people of all faiths, races and cultures with respect and tolerance and understand that while different people may hold different views about what is ‘right’ and ‘wrong’, all people living in England are subject to its law.
