Anti-Bullying Week 2022 is co-ordinated in England and Wales by the Anti-Bullying Alliance. This year it will take place from Monday 14th to Friday 18th November 2022 and has the theme Reach Out. The theme empowers young people to do something positive to counter the harm and hurt that bullying causes.
Our week started with 'Odd Sock Day!', on Monday 14th November 2022. This day is when where adults and children wear odd socks to celebrate what makes us all unique.
On Wednesday 16th November 2022, Kidscape came in to work with Year 5. They completed Bullying Awareness Champion Training, which is all about young people supporting each other. It increases children's confidence with empowering and practical activities that shared practical techniques for recognising and responding to bullying situations. Kidscape will be returning later in the school year to complete peer mentor training.
